The Blue Ribbon Foundation has three very important objectives…
- To raise awareness of male health issues - particularly cancer.
- To use the Blue Ribbon as a rallying banner to help bring about awareness; and to encourage male health charities to adopt the ribbon.
- To support male health and cancer charities by offering grants.
It is their belief that by working with charities in education and awareness campaigns, many male lives can be saved. They believe that too many men are dying too young and unnecessarily.
Blue Ribbon provides a 'signposting service' for men and their families, pointing them in the right direction - towards help groups and charities which provide specialised support.
They will work to raise awareness of male cancers and health issues, to encourage debate and, most especially, to gently persuade men to be more open about themselves and talk about the health problems that may privately be concerning them.
insureblue follows the successful launch of insurepink, aimed at supporting breast cancer charities through donations to The Pink Ribbon Foundation.
